Ruth Franklin was born in Kent, England, in 1964, and was raised on the country’s east coast in Suffolk.

 

Ruth has been creating expressive, soulful, figurative paintings and drawings since childhood. She earned a Painting degree from Brighton Art School in 1986 and has worked as a full-time professional artist ever since.


Ruth's work is exhibited worldwide, from New York to the Netherlands, and she was branded "an important contemporary artist with a unique vision" by ARTspeak Magazine in 1998. Since 1994, Ruth has lived & worked in the quaint city of Decatur, Georgia - near Atlanta.
